This striking hand painted biodegradable urn if you want to scatter your loved one’s ashes in the ocean. The item is specially crafted for water burial and will slowly float away after being placed in water.

Each item is one of a kind and made from environmentally friendly materials.

A water soluble bag and scattering instructions are included. 

How long does the urn take to sink?

These urns are designed to float from 5-15 min, however float time will depend on specific water and weather conditions. Also keep in mind that these urns are designed for the complete ashes of one adult. Therefore only including a partial amount of ashes may result in longer float time.

Turtles are stately animals that are believed to amalgamate heaven and earth, making this a delightful and endearing send off vessel for human cremains.

Scattering Laws:  Federal burial at sea guidelines require that cremated remains be scattered at least three nautical miles from land.

Update (May 1st 2023) Glue not included

In our effort to reduce single-use plastics, we no longer include small bottles of glue with this product. Please use a water-soluble, non-toxic glue (Elmer's or similar) to seal the urn per instructions. Thank you.
